Entitled “Endurance” after Sir Ernest Shackleton’s stricken ship on the doomed Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, the collection channeled archetypes of masculine (and sometimes maddening) exploration and reflected the consequences of the confidence that the planet is ours to conquer and exploit.
